Things I Loved this May

BC - May Favorites

This month of May has been wonderful for my Blog. I finally my voice again, my inspiration, my purpose. (wow. so dramatic) But kidding aside, it’s true. For a time I just didn’t see the need to continue, however, I couldn’t stay away for too long. I must admit, I missed this. I know now what I did wrong along the way and why I lost all interest and I wanna make sure I don’t do it to myself yet again. And so here I am, about to share my “May Favorites” but I must say my favorite part of May was the mere fact that I’m back at it again, for food this time (I hope.) Baby steps…

For my favorites, I wanna share both Lifestyle and Beauty favorites. That’s what I feel like makes sense to me right now. We’ll see how it goes on the next…LOL

Lifestyle Favorites

1. My IG Story Covers

I have been into this minimalist feel recently and I LOVE that I organized my IG stories this way. It’s so chic and clean but organized at the same time! For a time I wasn’t posting on my feed but I shared a lot of stories and when I finally created these covers I got so inspired. I thought my page looked so pretty and I couldn’t let my feed stay ugly LOL and thus my IG flood began.

Image result for canva app

I used this app called Canva (#notsponsored). They have so many templates to choose from that it doesn’t really matter if you’re creative or not! It makes editing so simple. I just searched “Your Story” in the search bar and that’s how I found a template that perfectly fits IG stories. Check out my Instagram account to see the covers I used. You can even copy them! I honestly don’t mind.

QUICK TIP: The app comes with A LOT of free icons but the nice ones are the ones you have to pay for. DO NOT PURCHASE ICONS. There are a ton of resources off the internet. Just search for a .png file to make sure it has a transparent background.

2. My Bujo

Honestly, Bullet Journaling is one the best things I’ve done for myself. It keeps me in check with all aspects of my life; financial, personal, work and blogging. I love that I get to customize it to what works for me, experiment with different layouts, while practicing my penmanship and calligraphy. I’m not confined to a fixed laid out planner, I can create my own layouts and design. It’s more time consuming but I find it relaxing. I helps me focus and reorganize my thoughts. Unfortunately, I don’t have the best penmanship, especially numbers. I feel like I write ugly but my bujo allows me to practice. I also am working on my OC-ness. I used to be such a perfectionist and rip out pages in my daily notebook when it’s ugly but with my own bujo I’ve learned to live and let go. (or else nothing would be left in my bujo)

I’ve been wanting to share my budget system which I honestly think is amazing! I’m just not sure if that is interesting to you guys. But I’ll probably share it anyway.

Beauty Favorites

1. SK-II Facial Treatment Essence

I am in LOVE with the SK-II line. I really see the difference in my skin. It’s more radiant and no breakouts. I use this every night after toner. Then I move on to a more moisturizing essence before I apply my moisturizer.

I will be honest, for a time I was really having skin issues. I don’t know if it’s the weather, lack of sleep, or the fact that I haven’t gone for a facial in a long time. (I think it’s all 3) I then added this to my skin regiment, drank a lot of water and started to get more sleep in, I kid you not, my skin started to improve. It’s still not perfect, (I really need to get a facial) but it has gotten much better and I really think that this played a big part in it! I highly recommend trying this out.

2. Banila Co. So Contouring Twin Stick in Light Brown

Because I’ve been having issues with my skin, I started to do minimal makeup. However, to me what’s really important with makeup is having a flawless finish and complexion. So even if I was wearing minimal makeup, I was really focusing on my face rather that my eyes. That’s when I discovered cream contour and bronzer. I used to be a skeptic, believe me. I always used powder before I discovered this and I’m glad I went out of my comfort zone because now I am able to create a beat face with less product and in less than 15 mins!

I previously made a mini review of this on my IG account and I was all praises! Long lasting and blendable at a great price! This has become a ride or die product for me. Cream contour and bronzer is definitely easier and faster. I will share my routine one of these days, but know that the Banila Co. twin stick is really great!

3. Calypso Magic Concealer

I have been raving about this concealer since I discovered it! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Hands down, the best concealer to cover dark circles! I use every single day, no matter what makeup look, I apply this every single time I do my makeup! I don’t even have to say much about it, JUST TRY IT!

4. 13 Brushes 13rave Brush

This is a new discovery that I will be sharing more about in an upcoming review. So it’s kinda like a sneak peak. 13brushes is a Singaporean brand that really specializes in handcrafted cruelty-free synthetic brushes. Incredible quality at a good price point! They’re not the cheapest, but I can tell you that the quality of these brushes are amazing. One of the best in the market! and they ship internationally! I always say, invest in brushes if you really want to do your makeup right. Without the proper tools it’s all useless even if you have the most expensive makeup in the world.  Do yourself a favor and get yourself this brush!

And that’s pretty much it! Let me know your favorites in the comment section below!

Thank you guys so much for reading! I truly hope you try a few of these. They will not disappoint! Subscribe to my Youtube Channel & make sure to follow me on my social media accounts; Instagram & Facebook, that is all @cescamandigma just like my blog name.

As always, all of the love and support is very much appreciated. Until the next post!

With Love,
Cesca ♥
