Product Review: Pond’s Flawless White BB+ Cream

Product Review Pond's BB+ Cream.jpg

Happy Wednesday Loves!

Today I will be reviewing the Pond’s Flawless White BB+ Cream that I shared with you in my previous blog post on “What’s in my Everyday Makeup Bag”Surprisingly, I have been enjoying this product. I’m not a huge fan of Pond’s (which I will explain more in the post) but after trying out this product I have a new view on this brand.

Let’s discuss the product details first…

NOTE: I have dry skin with minimal problems/breakouts. So please keep that in mind when reading my review and if this could apply to you.

Increase your skin’s radiance in 7 days with a formula that brightens and clears up your complexion. Created with GenActiv™ technology, this breakthrough formula reaches deep into your skin to regulate and adapt to the DNA that produces melanin– the first ever skin-lightening cream that adapts to your skin! –

Product Claims:

Ponds Flawless white BB+

  • Makeup & Skin Care in One
  • Gives you a flawless, natural look
  • Conceals dark spots & lightens from within
  • With SPF 30 PA++ to protect from harmful UV rays.

Retail Cost: 299Php

My purchase of this item was kinda an impulse buy. I wont lie, like what I mentioned in my previous post I was intrigued when I saw my girl crush Heart Evangelista use this product on her IG story. When I saw it on one of my random Mercury Drug runs I decided to try it out. I first purchased the light shade, only to later realize beige is a much better match for me. In my previous post I shared the light shade but since then I have switched to beige. The light shade has a more cool undertone/pink and the beige has a warmer/yellow undertone. Hence, beige was a better match for me.

Now talking about the product claims and if they live up to them…

Makeup & Skin Care in One?

I haven’t been using this product long enough to see if it has improved my skin. Also, I have a very nice skin care routine that the only red flag for me would be if I would start to breakout. So far I haven’t experienced any breakouts because of this product which is a huge plus for me! Because as I mentioned I normally don’t like Pond’s products because it makes me breakout but this product in particular hasn’t caused any.

Increase Skin Radiance in 7 Days? Brightens and Clears up Complexion? Lightens from within?

Again, I have a very good skincare so thankfully I don’t have any skin issues. So this claim doesn’t exactly apply to me, is what I would say.

Gives a Flawless & Natural Look?

Now taking about coverage and finish, my FAVORITE part! I specifically purchased this product to try out for my everyday use and so far I am LOVING IT. The coverage is just perfect for what I was looking for. Don’t expect full coverage because this is not what this product does. It’s a lightweight, light coverage bb cream that evens out the skin and minimally conceals darkness and redness. Now if you’re like me who is looking for a light base for everyday then you will LOVE this product as much as I do!

5 Things about this product…
1. Finish – Dewy / Natural / Lightweight

Since I have dry skin I always stay away from matte/powdery finishes. I prefer dewy/glowing finishes. Now if you were oily you’d want to do the opposite from me.

For the Pond’s BB+ it has a dewy finish. Most BB creams are dewy finishes unless stated otherwise. The purpose of a BB cream is to make you look healthy and glowing. I love the natural look this product gives. Kinda like your skin but better!

2. Color Selection – Limited | 2 Shades

Most Asian BB creams have limited color selections so don’t expect 40 shades. BB creams are designed to adapt to your skin but of course this doesn’t always works for all skin colors. This product has only light and beige.

3. Coverage – Light / Natural

This BB cream is really designed for those days where you don’t want to wear much makeup and want your skin to breathe. If that’s what you’re looking for (like me) then this product is perfect.

4. Application – Easy | Brush / Sponge

Since this is a lightweight base it’s easy to apply with a brush or sponge. You only need a little amount since this isn’t supposed to be layered on one after the other. Apply just enough that you have a light layer to even out the skintone and cover light dark spots.

5. Longevity – Long Lasting (Dry Skin)

Surprisingly, with minimal powder to set my face, this product lasts all through out the day. Again, remember I have dry skin so I don’t tend to powder throughout the day. But if you were oily, I would suggest setting with more powder and have blotting sheets with you throughout the day

Here’s a sneak peak of the makeup look I created using the products from my previous post, “What’s in my Everyday Makeup Bag”, and the Ponds Flawless White BB+ in Beige that will be on my channel very soon!

I love the product. I was pleasantly surprised as to how much I do enjoy using this product. It’s long lasting for my dry skin. Coverage is just perfect for that minimal everyday makeup look. And best part is it’s very affordable for the amount of product you need! I don’t use too much of this per application which makes it worth every penny! As far as the skincare portion of this product, I can’t really tell if it has improved my skin but it hasn’t caused any breakouts so we’re good in that department!

And that’s pretty much it!

Thank you guys so much for reading! I truly hope you enjoyed and maybe learned a few things about this product. Subscribe to my Youtube Channel & make sure to follow me on my social media accounts; Instagram, Snapchat & Facebook, that is all @cescamandigma just like my blog name.
